In Scotland it is an offence of Law, administered by Lord Lyon Master of Bearings and Arms, to display the Coat of Arms of the Chief since by doing so imply that you claim that the Arms are your legal property together with the lands and privileges that go with the Arms. Our Clan Histories use the correct Clansman's crest that is  "Approved by the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs".  Each history is printed in full colour on 8 1/2"x 14"parchment paper and comes heavily laminated for easy display or framing.
